What's YOUR Lucky Cat???

This is Lucky Cat. He sits next to me at all times. Okay, not at all times, but at least while I'm on my laptop writing. It would be a little weird if I always had Lucky Cat sitting next to me, though my 2 year old daughter would think it was awesome! So, it got me to thinking what's your Lucky Cat? A favorite coffee mug? A beloved pen? A lucky snack? (Love a lucky snack...aka Cheetos) Maybe a favorite sweater or T-shirt?

We all have that thing that we need or at least we think we need when we write. What's yours?

  1. I would say my lucky cat is my iPod. I listen to movie scores and lots of heavy metal when I write. I have to have it. It helps me escape into the world.

  2. A hot drink--coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I have to have that cup there or I feel like something's not quite right :)

  3. D.M.,

Heavy metal while you write? Wow! I don't even know how that might work! :) I'd seriously go mad!!! I leave the T.V. on, barely audible, for background noise. It's funny though, my kids can be yelling their heads off and I can totally block them out!!! ;)

  5. I have my Lenny Mug and my Lenny Cupake on my desk. They inspire me and make me feel warm and fuzzy all at the same time.

I love your Lucky Cat, Hilary!

  7. I don't really have anything I need when I write... though I do enjoy listening to movie scores (right now my fav is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince).

The Japanese steakhouse we eat at has one of those Lucky Cats on their counter. LOL.

  8. But how do the rats feel about the cat?

I don't have a lucky object, but maybe I should invest in one. I love the lucky cat. Of course I have my real cat who is climbing all over my lap and about to step on my keyboard. No she's off to see my mini-rats.

  11. Sharon, Lenny is your Lucky Cat!!! :)

Joanne, Yoda is totally lucky! Sort of even looks like a cat...a really, really old one! ;)

Kristin, Harry Potter score would totally get me in the writing mood! I must try that some time!

Melissa! Cats on the lap are very lucky, plus they keep you warm! Don't let it get too close to your rats! :)

Lenny! Peanut butter cups, awesome choice for a lucky snack! Add Cheetos to that (my fav) and I think you'll have a bestseller!!!

Amanda, you can borrow mine anytime!!
