A Nightshade City rat tattoo??? Yes, indeedy!

This beautiful little rat is an interior illustration by Omar Rayyan from Nightshade City. The tattoo was done by Zoe Thorne
Omar Ryyan, the illustrator of Nightshade City, who you've all heard me rave about before, was sent a picture of some serious fan art! One of Nightshade City's rats is now a permanent piece of someone! This tattoo is possibly the coolest thing ever! I just had to share.

If you have some time, please check out Omar's site, Studio Rayyan, which features his and his wife's work. They are both amazing!

  2. Aww! That's so cool, Hilary! You know you've made it as an author when someone tattoos artwork on themselves from your book...or an artist, too, for that matter.

  3. Are you dying over that, or what? I know it isn't technically your art, but it is your rat! Which one is it, anyway? :)

  4. Your brave! I gave a copy of Nightshade City to friends son for Christmas, he loved it. Just thought I'd let you know.

  5. Thanks, Jess and Cherie!

Tere, that little rat is in on the very first page of the book. I would like to guess it's Clover, but I'm just not sure!

Eliza, I hope you don't think that's MY tattoo! It's a fan of Omar's (and rats I would guess)!! I WOULD get one for myself though, very small, in a place where no one can see it! ;) I'm so glad your friend's son liked the book! :)

  12. Wow, Hilary....Clover has made it from paper to skin! Hey there is a great marketing idea! Around Christmas you could have a rat tattoo included with each book. :)
